FIRST® LEGO® League Challenge is a global STEM programme for teams of young people, to encourage an interest in real world themes and develop key skills that are crucial for their future careers. FIRST® LEGO® League is the worlds biggest and best STEM Competition for 9-16yr olds

Young people work together to explore a given topic and to design, build and program an autonomous LEGO® robot to solve a series of missions on a specialised field to score as many points as possible. The teams must explain the process of designing, building, and programming their LEGO® robot they are using for the Robot Game. This season teams must also research the SUBMERGED ℠ Theme and identify a problem related to the theme, design a solution to resolve it, and develop a presentation to communicate that solution. During the SUBMERGED℠ Season, FIRST LEGO League teams will use creative thinking and LEGO® technology to explore the layers of the ocean and bring their learnings and ideas to the surface as they “sea” into the future. Whilst competing the teams need to demonstrate the FIRST® LEGO® League Core Values which include innovation, teamwork and inclusion. Being respectful and having a great time are central to what makes FIRST® LEGO® League so special.
